A few essentials before your first conversation with the team.
A Business Development Marketer is a marketing professional who is not licensed as a loan officer. A BDM joins NEXA Lending as a part-time W-2 employee and supports a loan officer’s growth through marketing and relationship building.
The BDM role does not require an NMLS license. BDMs do not originate loans, handle disclosures or loan documents, or process loan files.
You and your loan officer negotiate compensation directly. NEXA does not mandate a rate. Review your specific terms in the agreement. Compensation covers genuine marketing and business development services rather than referral fees.
On the first of the month, the Service Verification form arrives at your NEXA email. Select the activities you performed, sign, and date it. On the second, an SMS goes to the phone number on file with instructions to upload supporting documentation for your marketing work.
The BDM program is currently unavailable in Arizona, as stated in the program presentation. Discuss eligibility for your location with the team before onboarding.
Register for the Why BDM call and connect with the loan officer who introduced you. Review your contract and BDM Flight Plan, complete the onboarding documents, and log in with your loan officer to finish onboarding.
